In this kinetic graphics project, we were tasked to create an online advertisement for the website I’ve designed.
Surmount is a fictional outdoor wear company, established in the year 1864.
As the industry leader, the gear they sell include, waterproof boots, wind breakers, shirts and accessories.
With efforts to appeal to the tech savvy
yet outdoorsy men between the ages of
25 to 50s, the advertisement was set in
a forest. The character in the video was designed to be relatable to the target audiences. In addition, the video highlights benefits such as convenience and comfort with the usage of highly contrasting locations and graphics.
Giving the video a raw feel, the
colour grading and graphics were
highly inspired by several hollywood
war movies. The following project was done in Adobe After Effects.
